Description: Guitar
I was thrown high, thrown far
Thrown a thousand miles and then some
'Fore I even knew that I'd been thrown at all
Was it my father's hand
Or ambition that propelled me
Well the truth is any more I can't recall
I did the circuit of the cities
I've been from LA 'round to Rome
But lately I feel my life begin to curve
And make the turn for home
Like a boomerang, boomerang
Like a boomerang
A boomerang
It comes as a surprise to me
I thought I travelled over the horizon
Disappeared from view and gone forevermore
But lately when I close my eyes
Every time I see another silent movie
Of the places that I knew and loved before
I see the Mississippi River
I see the bridge over the bend
I feel the wind rise up and circle round
To take me home again
Like a boomerang, boomerang
Like a boomerang
A boomerang
And some people are straight shot
Fired from a gun and they never do look back
Some people are a stone's throw
In the next town over and they're satisfied with that
Some people are the sailors
And the dreamers and the lovers
And they're happy we assume
And me
I'm a boomerang
And some people are straight shot
Fired from a gun and they never never do look back
Some people are a stone's throw
In the next town over and they're satisfied
Some people are the sailors
And the lovers and the dreamers
And they're happy we assume
And me
I'm a boomerang
