WORDS

Description: Guitar

Words can make for pretty poetry
Words can make for lovely-sounding scenery
Words can pretty easily ???
But that's not particularly news

But words don't shut up when they should
Words don't do everything I wish they could
'Cos now I've stumbled onto something good
And I love you more than words can say

Your words are simple just like me, you try
Like I'd repaint the ceiling of the sky
If the nighttime sky displeased your eye
Yeah, that was pretty good

And words are truly music when they rhyme
But words don't leave early and arrive on time
To meet your plane at gate B-29
And I don't forgive that anymore

And you, oh you
You brought me to my limit
Oh you, oh you
I knew in the first minute
Oh you now, oh you
And now I'm so deep in it

And now I write you postcards every day
I kiss them and send them on their way
But it's nothing but a big display
A lotta ink on paper

'Cos words are lazy substitutes
Words don't put on their walking boots
Words just sit around in bathing suits
And look at themselves in the mirror

And you, oh you
You brought me to my limit
Oh you, yeah you
I knew in the first minute
Ah you, ah you
With that look so sure and quiet
Ah you, yeah it's you
And I will not try to describe it

This morning I woke up in bed
These were the words inside my head
Now I'm living ???
I will love you more than words can say
