RAIN

Description: Guitar
Me and Charlotte live here
On my grandfather's place
We got a son of seventeen
All the girls love his face
Eddie's good in the fields
And he reads plenty late
He can run like the wind
Number three in the state
Did it rain today
Did the sun bother shining
We didn't need the rain
Anyway
I remember it well
It was Palm Sunday morning
There was ice on the trees
And with the red sky take warning
Eddie came down the stairs
He said he'd made up his mind
"I'm gonna be an engineer
I'm gonna leave the farm behind"
Did it rain today
Did the sun bother shining
We didn't need the rain
Anyway
We bought the Olds '88
That was sittin' at the neighbour's
It needed tyres and paint
Me and Eddie did the labour
Then he drove off to school
And I know he's doing great
I better get something done
The hired hand will be here by eight
Did it rain today
Did the sun the bother shining
We didn't need the rain
