FALL FROM GRACE

Description: Guitar
When I told the truth last night
I could see it in your face
I had tumbled from the skies
In a fall from grace
And you had always held me up
In a high high place
But now I've gone and lost it all
In a fall from grace
And I don't know to fix it
I don't know how to set it right
And I'm thinking here this morning
I shoulda lied, I shoulda lied
I should have lied
Oh did I think you'd understand
Well that was not the case
You were displeased to say the least
With my fall from grace
Now there's a black mark on my soul
That'll never be erased
A black mark in your blue eyes
For this fall from grace
And I don't know how to fix it
No and I can't change your mind
And it's clear to me this morning
I shoulda lied, I shoulda lied
Yes I should have lied
When I told the truth last night
I could see it in your face
I had tumbled from the skies
I had fallen down, fallen down from a high high place
I used to be the apple of your eye
Now I'm just an apple from a tree
Fallen down from a tall tall tree
Fallen down to the ground
Smashed and brown
Look at me now
I've fallen from grace
