THREE BLIND MIES
AKA: The Architect Song

Description: Acapella, to the tune of "Three Blind Mice"

Mies van der Rohe
Mies van der Rohe
He was an architect
He was an architect

The leading figure of modernism
His forms were a rectilinear prism
But I'd like to offer some criticism
Of Mies van der Rohe

Mies van der Rohe
But he was flavourless
But he was flavourless

Sheer walls of glass from the ceiling to floor
'Cos Mies, he always said less is more
But me, I really think less is a bore
With Mies van der Rohe

Frank Lloyd Wright
Frank Lloyd Wright
He was an architect
He was an architect

The founding father of the prairie school
Where horizontal lines were the rule
And there are people think nothing's as cool
As a Frank Lloyd Wright

Frank Lloyd Wright
But he was arrogant
But he was arrogant

He cantilevered his homes to the hilt
But they were poorly and shoddily built
So if your house is beginning to tilt
It's a Frank Lloyd Wright

IM Pei
IM Pei
Now there was an architect
There was an architect

He salvaged for himself an impressive ouvre
The JFK Library and the Louvre
And when he dies there'll be nothing to prove-re
For IM Pei
